I am on a journey to live my best life no matter what. Over the past year and a half I have battled an unknown illness that took it’s toll on my body, mind, and spirit. It took me out of work for almost a year and left me learning to be able to walk and do hings for myself. It cost me a relationship as well to my soon to be husband and as a step mom to two adorable kids. To say I have had to bounce back form a lot is to put it mildly. But I also know that I am not alone. I am not the only one who has suffered great pain and loss. I have only found one way that has helped me to restore my life and to allow hope back in. It is through a personal relationship with God and my Savior Jesus Christ. John 16:33 tells us that in this life we will have trouble. Jesus tells us this so that we won’t be surprised. But yet we still are aren’t we? Jesus also tells us in this same scripture that we are to take heart because He has overcome the world. No matter what you are facing now or have faced, there is a way to let it all go and move on. It will take time, patience, and a willingness to let go. Let go of pride, ego, and control. (The control is very hard for me.) By taking time in His word everyday, praying daily, multiple times a day actually, and surrounding yourself with people who love you and point you in positive directions, it will become possible to live your best life. That is where I hope to come in. I hope that you will allow me the honor of taking this journey with you. I will be posting things I am learning along my journey of living my best life. Scriptures I read and encouragement God puts on my heart. Practical ways to live a life daily with God and ways to apply them. Also reminders of who you are in God and that you still have so much worth no matter what you have done or had done to you. That you have so much to offer to others. I hope that sharing my story and journey will give you courage to do the same. One of the biggest ways The Devil tries to keep us down, form becoming all we are meant to be, is through doubt. One of the ways he does this is by making you believe that no one cares, that you are all alone. That way you doubt that you matter. And if you don’t matter than how could you possibly have anything to offer. I am here to help you realize that is simply not true. You do matter to God. You do have worth to Him. You do have a purpose through Him. He wants you to live life abundantly. John 10:10 tells us “The thief comes to kill, steal, and destroy. I have come that they may have life and live it abundantly.” He wants nothing more than to help you live your best life. Won’t you let him?
