Some people think that you have to have a certain amount of education to do something that makes a difference for others. That you can’t spread the hope of God to others without a degree in religion. Or you can’t start a non-profit to reach your community without some amount of higher education. Or any other thing you might be wanting to accomplish. They will ask you, “Who do you think you are?” Or say something like “You aren’t qualified to do that.” But they don’t know it all. They don’t know if God has anointed you to do the very thing you are trying to do. And if God has anointed you that is all you need. Just look at Jesus.
We read in Matthew 13 54-55, ” Coming to his hometown, he began teaching the people in their synagogue, and they were amazed. “Where did this man get this wisdom and these miraculous powers?” they asked. “Isn’t this the carpenter’s son? Isn’t his mother’s name Mary, and aren’t his brothers James, Joseph, Simon and Judas? Aren’t all his sisters with us? Where then did this man get all these things?” They questioned His qualifications. But Jesus was chosen by God to save us. He was anointed to do what only He could do. That was the only qualification He needed.
The same goes for us. The only qualification we need is to be chosen to do what we are trying to do. Not all we try will be anointed. That’s a bummer I know. But if we refuse to give in, refuse to listen to the voices that say we can’t do anything, refuse to stop trying, eventually we will find our anointing.
No matter what you may have tried before and failed, keep trying. Pray, ask God for wisdom and discernment. He wants you to get where He has planned for you. Jeremiah 29:11 says that He knows the plans He has for you. Why would He plan them for you and then not show you what they are? You just have to learn to drown out all the other voices first. The best way I have found to do this is by staying in His word daily. The more truth you have to say to those voices of doubt and fear, the better chance you will have at silencing them. Then faith has to come in. Belief has to come in. Hey, we gotta have faith and believe in something right? Why not let that be In a God who loves us, and through that love we can believe in ourselves too. People and Satan will say enough negative things to us, we don’t need to add to them. John 8:44 tells us that, “the devil was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.” That is where Gods words and promises come in. Darkness can not overtake us when we are walking in the light. John 8:12 states, “I (Jesus) am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” ❤
