Finding Faith In The Hurt

IMG_5104.JPGThis is a short entry but I felt led to share it. I published this on my FB page “Living Your Best Life.” Go check it out if you’d like. I share things on there I don’t here. Smaller entries of living with Christ in daily life. But I wanted to share this with you following me here. ❤

We often share our faith with others as a way to assure they get to know Jesus as their Savior and spend eternity in Heaven. And there is nothing wrong with that. In fact as believers we are called to do that. Matthew 28:19 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” But sometimes people need faith in a totally different way. Even as believers we need this faith shared with us. It’s faith in the stormy seasons that sunnier days are coming. I thought of this acronym tonight while driving.

Faith is what helps us get through when we think we can’t. It affirms who we are in Christ.
1Peter 2:9 “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” That even when we can’t see it in ourselves, God sees the extraordinary in us. It affirms that better is coming. John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” Jesus reminds us that in this fallen world bad times will come. But better times are ahead. Jesus has already overcome for us.
It affirms that we are loved. Psalm 86:15 “But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.” And don’t forget John 3:16. Even in the times we feel so unloved, we can remember just how loved we truly are.
Faith is more than just “fire insurance.” It’s a way of life. It’s being able to live our best life as Jesus wants for us. John 10:10 “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” So when you find yourself in a stormy season remember this. Remember your F.A.I.T.H ❤ #livingyourbestlife
