Let’s See Where God Takes This…

I’ll be honest I have no real motive here behind this post, I simply know I need to make a post as I haven’t in a couple of weeks. So I’m going to type, share recent events in my life, and see where God takes this.
Where to start, let’s see here… I do have some very exciting things going on in my life right now! I have a children’s book I’m working on getting published! Let me tell you, you wanna grow patience, publish a book. There is so much to it that I would have never guessed. Luckily I’m blessed to have a wonderful helper on my side. I relate this to life, there is always more to it than we ever imagined would be. Having great helpers along the way is vital. What else? Last Sunday I delivered my first Sunday sermon! I did NOT see this coming at all! Though I pray to be used by God, in ministry even, I still could not have guessed this one. At least not at this point in my life. Sometimes the things we didn’t see coming are awesome. Luckily for me I still had an amazing helper here too. Someone who could help me through this process. Also, I’ll be delivering the sermon next Sunday as well. God is truly opening doors for this girl.
I also have been heavy hearted this week, even in the midst of blessings, sometimes our hearts can feel heavy. As I continue to grow in this relationship with God, I still wrestle with feelings, questions, and worry. This week I was hit hard with the sadness of some unmet desires. Yes even in the middle of all these blessings, my heart became heavy. As I cried out to God, asking Him if surrendering to His Will meant I had to give up hoping for other things. As I prayed I said, “God I pray today for others and myself that the word hope not be a word that brings fear, but one that builds faith.” After that prayer I went on to my morning reading. I’m currently in Psalms. I almost immediately read this, “And now Lord what do I wait for? My hope is in you.” Psalm 39:7-8. God reminded me right then that no matter what I’m waiting for, my hope is in Him. What an amazing gift that was! Waiting is one of the toughest things we do as people, as believers. I was encouraged by this passage and I pray you will be too. Don’t give up on God! Don’t just wait on the Lord, wait with Him.
I was suppose to have a photo shoot yesterday. It was sunny all week, then bam, cloudy gloomy sky! I made the decision to reschedule for next Saturday. Then before reading my message on rescheduling, my makeup artist cancelled last minute. This brings up Gods protection. There are times we want something so bad, we’ve been looking forward to it, then something happens and it doesn’t come true. This can lead to us being hurt, angry, feeling let down by God. However we may not know what He has protected us from. Instead of a frantic last minute effort to be ready for the shoot, I can now have time to be completely prepared. Waiting again yes, but being ready for when it does come through is so worth it.
What about you? What are some awesome things Gods doing in your life? What are some ways you may still be struggling with where your life is? What are some ways you have felt protected by God in your life? There is no doubt that life is filled with many different things. Some great, some not do great. When we keep God at the center of it all, our best life gets so much easier to live. I look forward to hearing from you and all the ways you see God working in your life.
